Business Award WINNERS
Comfort Services Group has won an award at the recent North Essex Business Awards, the biggest local business event. Directors Lawrence and Andy took staff along to a glitzy ceremony at Braxted Park and were very pleased to be presented with a trophy!
As winners, Comfort received the iconic star shaped commemorative plaque, to proudly display as well as being featured in the Meet the Winners section of the Essex County Standard newspaper. The award is recognition that Comfort Services Group is now a well established business providing an excellent service with excellent values.
Andy Green, Director said: “We are delighted that Comfort has been recognised as a successful, growing business. Achievements can only be made with the support of those around you and I am delighted to be working with a fantastic business partner and hard working, passionate staff.”
As award winners, Comfort will automatically be shortlisted for the Countywide Awards which will take place on 2nd December at Crowne Plaza. This is an opportunity for winners and finalists from their three regional events to meet, head to head in a crème de la crème style contest. Watch this space!
Our client – JCA – is raising money to support this amazing charity and Comfort Services Group are proud to be one of the sponsors by donating money to raise awareness of the cause.
Rough Sleeping is the most visible form of homelessness in London and the numbers of those sleeping rough is sadly on the rise. We have all walked past cold and lonely people sleeping in door ways on our way to work in the mornings or on the way home after a night out.
JCA are doing this challenge to raise some much needed funds to help these often vulnerable people. They are taking the stairs of Tower 42, the famous London landmark, from the street to the roof; altogether 932 Steps over 42 Floors.
On 24th February 2018, Gillian Bowen will be climbing Kilimanjaro in Africa in support of a fantastic charity called Wooden Spoon. The climb to the top will take 8 days and will see the group sleeping in tents on the side of the mountain in temperatures as low as -20!
The Kilimanjaro challenge was set by Women With Drive who believe in inspiring women to succeed in the automotive industry by dreaming big and achieving goals. The aim of the challenge is to prove female strength and determination to the world.
At Comfort Services Group, we like to recognise the employees who help the company grow and gain a great reputation.
Meet Tom Hyde, the Commissioning Project Manager, who is celebrating 10 years with Comfort this month! Tom has been supervising the growing team of commissioning engineers and managing a variety of projects ensuring that the set goals and business expectations are always met 100%. Having spent a decade within the company, Tom has become a crucial part of the team.
Here’s what Tom thinks about his time with Comfort:
“Looking back, I remember starting as an engineer and over the years progressing to the Project Manager role. I thoroughly enjoy managing the team, helping the young apprentices gain their experience in commissioning and working with everyone involved. I hope to see a similar bit of news in 10 years time again, I honestly believe my future is with Comfort!”
Cheers Tom, happy 10 Year anniversary!
