Nature of client end user business

City Tower, or 40 Basinghall Street as it was once known, is one of the last remaining towers, built as part of one of London’s greatest and most ambitious pieces of post-war urban renewal. It is a straightforward and lightweight building that owes its form to being part of the much greater development of London Wall.

Today, it is one of the most recognised and well-established office addresses in Central London, spreading across 19 floors. A comprehensive refurbishment is now complete, offering high quality tower floors of 6,300 sq ft, with dramatic panoramic views of the City.

What the Project Entailed

This project consisted of pre-flushing, chemical cleaning and dynamic flushing of (lthw) low temperature hot water and Chilled Water systems to BSRIA BG29 standards on a floor by floor bases followed by integration to Landlords services. Proportional balancing, setting to work and commissioning of air and water systems to CIBSE Code A & W. Domestic services chlorination and post works sampling to ACoP L8 & HSG 274 Part 2.

What We brought to the Job

Close co-ordination with client and building end user as various floors were occupied, minimal disruption to existing services.

Close monitoring programme to ensure microbiological control over closed systems prior to handover and systems integration.

I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that your engineer yesterday (Richard) was the epitome of professionalism and a good ambassador for Comfort. Very competent and knowledgeable. Also was pleasing to see someone who navigates themselves around our site (which is large) and does not need 'hand holding' Mark Williams, Glenwood School
