London City AirportDOWNLOAD CASE STUDY
London City Airport is an international airport located in the Royal Docks in the London Borough of Newham, approximately 11 km east of the City of London and a shorter distance east of Canary Wharf. These are the twin centres of London’s financial industry, which is a major user of the airport. The airport was developed in 1986–87.
London City served over 4.3 million passengers in 2015. It was the fifth-busiest airport in passengers and aircraft movements serving the London area—after Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton—and the 13th-busiest in the UK. The Airport’s location, on the doorstep of London’s financial district, is considered vital to business and plays an integral part in the growth of the UK’s capital city.
Due to the nature and security requirements of the building flexible working with our client and end user to ensure environmental conditions were maintained to the public during works, these were mainly out of hours to reduce any significant impact.
