What the Project Entailed

This project consisted of pre-flushing, chemical cleaning and dynamic flushing of (lthw) low temperature hot water and (hthw) high temperature hot water systems (operating at 136oC) to BSRIA BG29 standards. Proportional balancing, setting to work and commissioning of air and water systems to CIBSE Code A & W. Legionella risk assessments to ACoP L8 & HSG 274 Part 2, domestic services chlorination and post works sampling.

Specialist Treatment

High Temperature Hot Water systems require low solid content so specialist inhibitors were blended to ensure long term protection to the system, deionised water was used during chemical cleaning and final system fill.
