What the Project Entailed
The project consisted of pre-flushing, chemical cleaning and dynamic flushing of the low temperature hot water and chilled water systems for their new day care centre, case ward and recovery area, anaesthetic room, stores and changing rooms.
The project was undertaken in a live hospital environment so we worked closely the contractor project team to minimise the effects of the works, allowing the hospital to operate as normal.
All water treatment chemicals used are own label, custom made to suit customer specifications.
What We Brought to the Job
We have enjoyed a successful, long term relationship with Eyre Building Services which led us to being selected to carry out the specialist water treatments and consultancy work on this project due to our expertise and knowledge of building systems.
We were commissioned by Eyre Building Services to provide a full commissioning and water treatment package for the newly build James Paget Hospital operating theatre complex.
The first phase of an £8 million project to expand James Paget Hospital’s operating theatre complex in Gorleston has now been completed and the new state-of-the-art operating theatre suite is ready to receive its first patients.
The Day Case Theatres Complex is one of the biggest investments in the Trust’s history and will significantly improve the efficiency of services offered to patients while providing staff with modern, well-equipped facilities. At present, the hospital has seven theatres and once building work has been completed, it will have eight operating theatres including one dedicated to emergency procedures.
