We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant to Support Defence Personnel

A few months back, we were pleased to announce that we had become a forces friendly employer by joining CTP (The Career Transition Partnership). CTP is a partnership between The Ministry of Defence and Right Management, aiming to make the Armed Forces leavers’ transition into the civilian workforce as smooth as possible. We are pleased to show our support and help the military leavers’ find new careers in the civilian workplace.

Recently, we made it official and registered our pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant to show our commitment and support to those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families.

In a nutshell, we have committed to recognise the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families can bring to our business by

  • supporting the armed forces, including existing or prospective employees who are members of the community
  • supporting the employment of veterans young and old and working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), in order to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service Leavers; and
  • supporting the employment of veterans young and old by recognising military skills and qualifications when interviewing for new positions;

As a result, Comfort Services Group have received the Bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for our intent to support defence personnel. We are proud to be a business that cares about our community.
