Comfort Services Group is North Essex Business Awards 2016 Finalist
Comfort Services Group Limited is very proud to announce it is a finalist in the North Essex Business Awards 2016 for 2 categories!
- Growing Business of the Year
- Business Man of the Year – Andy Green, Director
The Comfort team will be attending a glitzy ceremony at Braxted Park, Witham on the 1st July where they will find out if they are the winners. If they win they will then be put forward as finalists for the Essex Business Awards in November.
Comfort Services Group welcome the recognition of the success of the business and look forward to being featured in local paper, the Essex County Standard.
Comfort started in 2004 by Andy Green and Lawrence Reeves from a converted garage office in West Bergholt. With no financial backing, a few old specialist instruments found on eBay and a desire to become business owners.
Through quality work and customer service initial jobs were completed, repeat business started to become more regular (96% client retention). Due to an increasing workload, in April 2014 they rented a small office space and the work force expanded.
In February 2015 they purchased a bigger office in Colchester and within the last year have taken on another 13 members of staff, there are currently 25 employees including 3 apprentices.
In August 2012 Andy and Lawrence recognised a need for a water treatment division. Historically commissioning and water treatment have always been segregated and outsourced individually, combining commissioning services with water treatment was a massive leap forward, some competitors do this but generally sub-contract one element out, this is something they will not do. Full control of engineers is maintained and they are aligned with the company core values.
This resulted in them doubling the turnover on projects.
Comfort Services Group Limited prides itself on providing a first class service and it’s obviously working as nearly all of its business comes through recommendations.
Comfort is working with large businesses including Heathrow Airport terminals 2, 3, 4 & 5. Also 122 Leadenhall Street (Cheese grater), 20 Fenchurch Street (Walkie Talkie), Kings College Hospital and a private residence in London that second in size only to Buckingham Palace.
Andy Green, Director said “I consider one of the main success's of the business being down to the fact that we are extremely innovative, we have brought new methods of working to our industry and continue to evolve and change. Our competition just cannot keep up with the constant changes and new ideas that we bring to the market.”
They believe that to provide the best possible services they need to provide staff with 1st class training and run an apprenticeship scheme. They are very pleased to be able to support young people in the area by providing them with an excellent start in their careers. Comfort Services plan to employ 2 new apprentices every year.
